The « Arc
boisé » forest charter provide different
partners (territorial collectivities, public servicies,
wood owners, business and tourism actors, associations)
and the public since june 2002 with a clear statement
of the values that are fundamental for the territory,
including the primacy of ecological integrity
in national forest management, and the principles
that govern forest services to the public.
The « Arc boisé » regroup several urban woods
in Val-de-Marne such as Notre-Dame, La Grange
and Grosbois forests, but also their prolongation
in Essonne and Seine-et-Marne Departments.
Public and partners are both concerned by the
Charter and involved to protect the edge, adopting
an ecological attitude.
Val-de-Marne Tourism Department Committee supports
all actions suggested, such as educational activities
and leisures in order to inform the public (Forests
charter, descriptives of forests, feasibility
Study on hospitality services for the Public…).
Thank you for downloading the charter and preserving
the « Arc boisé » environment
