What
is the Val-de-Marne? |
|
 |
 |
Located in the Paris Ile-de-France
region, very close to Paris, the Val-de-Marne
is the largest section of the « inner
suburbs of Paris » with a population
of over 1,2 million people.
Its natural and forest patrimony combines
leisure activities (rambles, aquatic sports…)
with the conservation of agricultural and
forest areas, as well as a departmental policy
aimed at environmental protection (parks,
islands and banks of the Marne…).
The quality of hydrology enhances the image
of the Val de Marne as a water department.
Its network of rivers complements an exceptional
landscape and biological patrimony and has
great potential for economic and leisure activities.
